New Tiger cub to debut against Cowboys

Wests Tigers coach Tim Sheens has promoted rookie Simon Dwyer into the side for this Sunday's clash with North Queensland Cowboys at Leichhardt Oval, 3pm.

The 20-year-old will make his debut in the second row for the round 19 game.

The Ingleburn Bulldogs junior will start from the interchange bench.

The full team is: Shannon Gallant, Taniela Tuiaki, Blake Ayshford, Beau Ryan, Benji Marshall, Tim Moltzen, Bryce Gibbs, Robbie Farah (C), Todd Payten, Gareth Ellis, Danny Galea, Corey Payne. Interchange: Simon Dwyer, John Morris, Alan Schirnack, John Skandalis.

In other news, the Tigers have lost centre Dean Collis to Cronulla for the next two years.

Former Brisbane winger Tame Tupou has signed with the Tigers for the remainder of the year.
