Liverpool Bossy played hard fought draw

24 Jun, 2009 05:04 PM
LIVERPOOL Bossy coach Zlatko Nastevski did everything he could to make the most of an overcast day, marshalling his troops to a hard-fought 2-2 draw with Spirit FC at Moorebank's Ernie Smith Reserve.

It was the Football NSW Super League clash between second-placed Spirit FC against second last placed Liverpool.

Spirit FC went ahead early thanks to a third minute goal before Liverpool restored parity through a David Wilson penalty kick in the 30th minute to level 1-1.

Luck followed Liverpool into the second term, and a deflected Daniel Wilson shot into the Spirit FC net put them in front for a second time, eight minutes into the second half.

But Liverpool's side joy was shortlived as an own goal down the other end levelled the match again at 2-2, unchanged at the full-time whistle. Liverpool's draw puts them onto nine points three ahead of last placed Fraser Park (six).
