THE Tigers are roaring out at Bill Anderson Reserve, Kemps Creek, which is one of the busiest in Liverpool's rural suburbs at weekends.
It's the home of Kemps Creek United Soccer Club, which was formed in 1975 in the Southern Districts Soccer Football Association competitions.
Club official Tony Perri said the Tigers have 21 teams and 350 registered players this year. Two years ago they had 200 players.
``The club is going from strength to strength,'' Perri said.
``We have teams from the nursery age to over 35s.
``We started this season with an almighty roar with the Tigers' under-14 first division team winning the Fairfield Games Shield.
``The under-14s are also making their mark in the competition, placed in the top four headed to the finals.
``The majority of the team comprises last year's under-13s, who were minor premiers and grand final winners.''
Perri said the Tigers' under-21 first division team was undefeated and had also reached the finals of the statewide Robertson Cup.
Next week they play Gymea in a knockout semi-final.
``Many of the club's teams are in finals contention, including the girls' under-12s second division team who lead the competition and the under-13s fourth division team, which has lost just one game,'' Perri said.
He said other sides performing well were the all-age men's third division, the men's all-age seventh division, and men's over-35s second division teams.
