CROSSROADS Homemaker Centre's community carnival was a big hit with local residents - the car park venue was packed out all day.
There was a bungee jump, jumping castle, cup-and-saucer and information stalls.
Centre manager Jacki Common said it was the third carnival they've held.
``The rides on the day were free and there was just a donation tin to raise money for Miracle Babies,'' she said. ``We raised $600 for them.''
Roving musicians, face painters and a clown joined in the day, and the new indoor play and party centre, Monkey Mania, was launched.
``We've been inundated with calls from parents wanting to know when it was going to open,'' Ms Common said.
